I Believe

After 30 years in a corporate operations high-stress career, I purposely and bravely made one of the best decisions of my life….I left. I was at the top of my career, successful by the standards of others, financially successful and well respected but nevertheless, I was missing something. I spent a great deal of time thinking long and hard about what it was that I was missing….…it just did not make sense why I still felt something was not quite right. Then I made a difficult realization that it was me… my mindset was the issue. I had been attempting to find the measure of my success in a career rather than the real measure of success…happiness and peace of mind.

And so, off the ledge I jumped in pursuit of a life filled with joy, peace , happiness and health.

I now live in rural Eastern Tennessee with my wonderful husband who is also my best friend.

We live in a 100 year old farmhouse that we are renovating together.

We have time to experience the beautiful nature all around us, take walks, enjoy our community, fish in the lake, and spend time with our two fur babies, Angus and Orianthi.

I am the mother of five children.

My grandbabies call me “GiGi”.

I love to dance, decorate and 80’s music is the best!

A True Love Story Never Ends

Meet Jimi….the love of my life…. and my second shooter.

A real life 90-Day Fiancé Story….well, not exactly.

Seven thousand miles between us was not enough to stop destiny. Our story begins with a website and a desire to learn new languages at exactly the same moment in time. Somehow, whether destiny, cosmic forces or divine intervention, and with over 12,000 profiles on a language exchange site, Jimi saw me. It was an instant connection and we have been inseparable ever since.

Starting this relationship was a bit unconventional since Jimi is from Sweden and lived there at the time. We spent hours texting and talking every day for two months. Then he booked his first trip to America. We had never even video chatted! I had no idea what he looked like, but yet, I stood in an airport one late evening and waited for the person behind the voice….and yes, we embraced and shared a passionate kiss right there in the airport just like in the movies! Love at first sight!

After flying back and forth every month (24-hours one way), he proposed. We married in a tiny chapel on a gorgeous November day.

Our small all-inclusive wedding included a photographer, however; he did not edit or even crop the photos. That was our first experience with organizing, editing and learning to create images to last a lifetime.

Since those years ago, we have been on many adventures and journeys together and never without a camera in hand. We never wanted to miss a single moment of our lives together.

We are a team and each share our respective talents with the other as any team should. Each adventure over the past decade that we have embarked upon is simply another part of our special love story. We love to document and share our crazy adventures and feel it is our mission to help others share their stories as well.
